Learner's Page

For the Learner, English Eco serves two main goals: The development of learner autonomy and Increased feedback for target language use. All other learning goals, be that of topical knowledge or language related skills, are all embedded within the topics themselves. What English Eco supplies for the learner is a chance to interact using target language, and to develop skills and strategies that will enable them to do so independently, and freely across the internet.

The Learner Page would be a portal of support and information for participants. Among the essential links posted on the Learner's Page would be:

  • Lists of Known Topics - ideally one large, searchable list of links to current topics
  • The Learner Blog website - driven by participant posts and ideas
  • The Autonomous Learner Blog - ways to use language interactively online. (facilitator driven)
  • Sample Participant blogs, webpages, twitter pages, etc
  • Sample & 'newbie-friendly' Facilitator webpages
  • Resources of helpful links submitted by learners
